The account can be accessed only after entering that code.

One advantage of activating this is that when someone tries to hack your account or sign in, OTP will come to your phone via SMS and you will know.

How to Enable Google Account 2-step verification

If you want your Gmail to be secure, then first of all you should put it in a strong password account. You should change your password from time to time. Also do the 2-step verification in your Google account in the easy way given below.

  1. You must first go to Google 2-step verification page. There will be complete information about it. What are these, what are the benefits of enabling it and how does it protect you. On the right side there will be a blue button named Get Started, click on it.

  1. The next page will be named Protect Your Account to 2-Step Verification and also click on Get Started. Now you will have the option to sign in to Gmail ID, in which you will have to enter the password and click on Next.

  2. On your screen, the phone will use a phone named ‘Use your phone as your second sign-in step’, in which case would you like to use the below given number? After clicking select other option, 2 options of security key and text message or phone call name will open, in which you have to click on text message or phone call.

  1. On setting up your phone, the name of the page will open, in which the first option will be the phone number in which you will have to fill your mobile number. Now we have to tick the text message below it. And finally press on Next.

  1. There will be an OTP on your phone which will be in the form of a code, insert this code in the option of the next page and press the Next button again.

  2. Now you have 2-step verification. In which, click on the Turn On button 2-step verification is enabled on your Google account.

How to Disable 2-step verification

We would advise you to enable Google in Google account by 2-step verification. If for some reason you want to remove it, you can still do it very easily.

  1. First of all, you have to open Google Account Security on your phone or computer. Click Sign in to Google Options under Step 2 Verification.

  2. After this, you will have to sign in again by entering the account password. Now you will see 2-step verification is at the top, click on the turn off button next to it. This will remove your security from your account.
